Tasting Notes:
The 2016 Barn Burner is a rare and extraordinary wine. Perfectly constructed, its great depth is balanced by an alluring brightness making it a pleasure to drink.
The rich nose rst draws you in with aromas of ripe blackberries freshly picked in the warm summer sun along with Fraises des Bois and dark cherries. Scents of prosciutto, olives and Herbs de Provence join the fruit while the bouquet of violets and hardwood maple add to its complexity.
The palate certainly lives up to the promise. The fruit of blackberry, cherry and little French strawberries are all there, joined by big fat blueberries. The olives have been transformed into tapenade sprinkled with Herbs de Provence and Tellicherry black pepper while a touch of tea rose rounds out this lovely, integrated wine.
The 2016 Barn Burner is more than rewarding now and will be a treasure to cellar.
