Tasting Notes:
The beautiful wines from this lovingly cared for vineyard never fail to surprise and delight. Each vintage has the same strong character and finesse, but the individual components come together in delightfully different ways.

In the 2018, the dark fruit we find is less black cherry, more plum, boysenberry and currant. There are still cherries, but they are enveloped in buttery piecrust with a hint of clove. The meatiness one finds in a classic Barn Burner is present and accounted for, but it is more beef tartare than the pork charcuterie we have found in past vintages.

This very full and generous red with notes of black tea, olive and Balinese Long Pepper just screams for a steak. Lovely all on its own, it would enjoy the company of a fine meal even more. The nice, firm tannins will, as always ensure longevity, but we dare you to be able to leave it in the cellar for long!
