Tom Scott Vineyard has grown yet another gorgeous wine. The 2014 Barn Burner is an elegant, plushy mouthful of rich plum, mixed berries and black cherries. In the nose, you will find Barn Burner’s signature Balinese Long Pepper accompanied by dark chocolate, coffee, a touch of citrus and cured black olives, The full palate of black fruit with a hint of licorice and cedar brings to mind a charcuterie plate garnished with rose petals and violets, ending with a dessert of blueberry tart accompanied by coffee and chocolate truffles.
The partnership of winemaker Bill Ballentine and Tom Scott Vineyard is a match made in heaven that has been bottled for us all to savor.
